Project Description
BYRD's Cookie Company is a famous cookie shop in Savannah, GA. I was inspired by cookies of different flavors and shapes for a complex scene project. My Purpose was to reproduce the atmosphere and design of BYRD's Cookie Company in this project. The focus of my project is the refraction material of the glass bottle, each material and shape of the cookies, the texture map for the scene, and the lighting. And my goal was to use RBD to put the cookies in the bottle. It was a fun process!

I went to the store, and I took the picture for the Project.
I observed the bottle’s design and Cookie’s Material.
The observation and Reference Images helped me a lot.

Technical Guide

I made six geometry for six different Cookie designs, a number of Copy Stamps, and animations.
Each Cookie geometry consists of Bottle & Lid, Thread, Name Tag, Cookie, Copy Stamp, and RBDbulletsolver.
The image on the right is one of the Cookie Geometry.
Bottle & Lid Process
1. Modeling

Modeling is very important to express the refraction and reflection of the glass. I tried to do complex modeling in glass using the curve tool.
2. Texture Map

For the logo on the glass, I saved the UV map of the bottle and made a texture map in Photoshop. I made a separate Alpha Mask texture map so that only the shape of the logo can appear in the bottle. A material layer was used to combine the textures.
Name Tag Process
1. Thread Modeling

I used the curve tool to model the tied threads. I used the sweep node for extruding the curve line.
2. Texture Map

I made a name tag in Photoshop and put a texture map.
3. Boolean

I made a hole to thread the thread through.
5 Cookies
Process
I used Redshift's Noise and connected it to displacement to shape the cookie, and the Material builder to express the texture of each cookie.
I tried to design different and realistic designs of each cookie by specifying an alpha layer with different Noise.

RBD Process
I bottled cookies with rbdbulletsolver. After copying the cookie with Copy and Stamp, we connected it to the first input geometry.
And after attaching the bottle to the Collision Geometry, we started the animation.
